This is the rebrand of the Association logo and modifier. I took this work—originally designed by the amazing Trish Leavitt, formerly of Sametz Blackstone—and used it as the base for the following program logos I designed as source branding identities.

NFPA podcasts—discussing lessons learned from international catastrophic events and general life safety topics—quickly gained an international following shortly after their launch in 2017. We wanted to make the identity contemporary, as a sign of the times, as opposed to something centered around life safety iconography.

Adopted in all 50 states, NFPA 70, National Electrical Code (NEC) is the benchmark for safe electrical design, installation, and inspection to protect people and property from electrical hazards. Two NEC staff members started a podcast every Friday called NEC NOW LIVE to discuss current events related to the code.
Similar to the NFPA Podcast identity, I wanted this to be hip but with a retro feel using the generally accepted colors of caution which are yellow and black. For the final, we went with NFPA's branded red for the 'play' portion of the logo.
